Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath honoured women for their outstanding contribution in various fields during the Devi Award programme held in Indore. He said that there is a need to create such an atmosphere for women so that they can participate freely in every field and progress.
Kamal Nath said that a big change has come in the condition of women today in comparison to the condition 30 years ago. Today, women are performing economic activities by forming self-help groups in villages. Kamal Nath called upon the women to become partner in the progress of the family, region, state and country.
The Director of The New India Express Group Prabhu Chawla said that independent and strong women are the back bone of any nation. Therefore, for the last 19 years, the Express Group has been honouring the women for their outstanding works in different fields.
The Minister for Home and Jail Bala Bachchan, Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Tulsiram Silawat, Minister for Higher Education and Youth Welfare Jeetu Patwari, MP Vivek Tankha, Padam Awardee Bhalu Modhe, Sanjay Jagdale, other public representatives and eminent citizens were present at the programme.
