Bhopal: Making an appeal to the people of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan cautioned them to take full precautions to prevent the outbreak of the Coronavirus. He said “We will not let Coronavirus spread in Madhya Pradesh under any condition. The State Government is making every necessary arrangement in this regard.”
The chief minister said medical colleges and other big government and private sector hospitals would function as specific hospitals in the state. Arrangements have been made for essential medicines, masks, PPE kits as well as ventilators. Chouhan said this while addressing the high-level meeting held in connection with Coronavirus at Mantralaya on Thursday.
Cautioning the people of the state to follow the instructions of the government of isolation, Chouhan asked them to cooperate in keeping themselves and their family healthy. He said that there has been information that some citizens have returned from abroad. Efforts are also being made to eliminate the possibility of contamination of their family, he added.
Chouhan said that with alertness people can quarantine themselves and ensure the welfare of the entire community. It is a matter of collective responsibility. He assured that his Government is with the people in this difficult time of crisis.
Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Anurag Jain, Principal Secretary Medical Education Sanjay Shukla, Principal Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare Pallvai Jain Govil and others were present at the meeting.
