Bhopal: Ten Madhya Pradesh rebel Congress MLAs and two ministers of Kamal Nath-led Congress government are not ready to join the BJP, sources said. They came to Bengaluru for Jyotiraditya Scindia and not for joining BJP, the sources added.

Taking to Twitter, Madhya Pradesh Congress stated that "Congress is together, the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Kamal Nath is completely united and secure. The BJP's divide & rule conspiracy will never succeed. All our MLAs consider their accountability, duty and morality towards the people of the state supreme."

Meanwhile, the State Home Minister Bala Bachchan said “Congress is in a safe and strong position. Everybody is in touch with Chief Minister, everything will be alright soon and we will prove majority on the floor of the assembly and our government will continue till 2023”.

"We will prove majority on the floor of the house. All the Congress MLAs who are in Bengaluru were being misled. Even BJP MLAs are in touch with us." says Congress' Shobha Oza.

"BJP is enacting the strategy the way they did in Karnataka. It is murder of democracy Jyotiraditya Scindia has fallen into the trap and he will realise the blunder very shortly," Puducherry CM V. Narayanasamy tweeted.

Maintaining a brave face and hinting at a floor test in coming days, Madhya Pradesh Congress MLA Arjun Singh told media that the Kamal Nath's government will remain and everyone will see on March 16 as the numbers of MLAs will stay the same. Jyotiraditya Scindia's leaving the Assembly doesn't affect anything, days of Rajas-Maharajas are long gone, he added.

"Most MLAs will return", senior Congress leader from Karnataka, DK Shivakumar told a media outlet. He claimed to have been in touch with 22 rebel Congress MLAs who have resigned from the MP Assembly, out of them 19 are currently in Bengaluru.

Day after Madhya Pradesh strongman Jyotiraditya Scindia jolted the Congress by resigning from the party amid speculation of him joining BJP, former MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan posted a cryptic tweet stating, in politics or life no one is your enemy. Chouhan's post came after a two-week-old tweet by Scindia criticising the BJP was widely shared by netizens, questioning the royal's move.
