Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will begin distribution of bonus to the tendu patta collectors in a combined programme at Dindori and Mandla district on August 31.
Bonus of Rs 494.33 crore will be distributed to lakhs of tendu patta collectors of the state. This is the maximum amount in the history of tendu patta collection.
Chairman of Rajya Laghu Vanopaj Sangh Mahesh Kori said that preparation for bonus distribution through all Primary Forest Produce Cooperative Committees of the state has been completed.
Bonus will be distributed in the presence of ministers, MPs, MLAs and other peoples’ representatives in the programmes to be held at the district level. The rate of tendu patta collection wages per standard bag has been increased from Rs 1250 to Rs 2000.
This year water bottles, sarees, shoes and slippers have been distributed to the collectors along with Rs 207 crore. For the first time the tendu patta collectors are receiving Rs 207 crore and Rs 494 crore that is total of more than Rs 701 crore.
